My theme is also to some degree in touch with monument protection and historical heritage – and thus it has some mainly local aspects.
At the first search, I found three titles that could be suitable: Histoire économie et société, Revue économique, Entreprises et Histoire (on the page of our member Bertilorenzi – Marco, thank you for your contributions). – Has anybody further ideas? – Do the French archives have some series for more local themes?
And among the three mentioned periodicals, what ranking can be given for the said purpose?
Hi Holm, thanks a lot for mentioning me, it is so kind. I can suggest to take a look also to Revue du Nord, it is a very good journal that publishes important articles in economic and business history, open also to archeology and heritage studies to some extent. Also the Revue d'Allemagne could be a further journal to see for such a topic.
Hello Marco, thank you much for answering - as the only answerer till now. I must confess that the question was highly specialistic. So you might be the only expert in Researchgate for this. - I checked Revue de Nord: it seems suitable, maybe a bit reluctant towards English articles. I found only one (besides the English parallel titles regarding thematic issues on for instance Dunkerque). - Revue d'Allemagne would provide the advantage to accept also German texts, but my topic was geographically always in France, never annected. So I fear it falls out of their subject area.
Just one little supplement and additional question: "Francia. Forschungen zur westeuropäischen Geschichte" is the journal of the German Historical Research Institute in Paris. It is dedicated to the West-Middle-European History of all epoches and kinds. It accepts contributions in German, French and English. - Does anyone have experience with it?
