I am working on my master thesis in psychology and I would greatly appreciate your feedback regarding the interview questions. Are they clear? Should any of the questions be written in simpler language? Should I delete any of the questions? Add a question?

The study aims to investigate maternal perceptions about cartoon viewing in a sample of mothers of preschoolers.

The main objective is t to have an in depth understanding of the precursors of parental involvement and the value systems that determine their mediation strategies

Research Question

1. How do mothers perceive the influence of cartoon viewing on their preschoolers?

Interview questions

  • What amount of media is your child consuming per day?
  • What stations does your child watch?
  • What type of programs does your child watch? -Why do you think your child likes watching them?
  • How often does your child watch cartoons? When does your child watch cartoons?
  • How often do you actively co-view cartoons with your child?
  • How do you perceive the cartoon content your child is exposed to?
  • - What concerns do you have, if any?

    7. How do cartoons affect or not affect your child? Behavior, attitude?

    8. How do you interact with your child’s media use?

    - What limitation rules do you have when it comes to media exposure in general?

    - What limitation rules do you have when it comes to cartoon viewing in particular?

    Or

    - What programs are allowed or not allowed? Why?

    9.If you were to produce a cartoon movie what elements would you make sure it includes?
