23 December 2019 3 6K Report

Hi,

As a result of the articles I have read in detail, I would like to ask a few questions and await the help of those involved.

First of all, I focused on the thesis of estimating categorical soil classes (USDA, soil taxonomy, from ordo to subgroup and series ) with 22 environmental variables.

In this context, I will represent 11 remote sensing data, 11 topographic data and topography, parent material and organism factors that are mostly studied in the literature( SCORPAN model).

I focused mostly on the Multinominal Logistic regression used. I continue my R programming and R studio training for this method.

Specifically "Spatial prediction of USDA‐great soil groups in the arid Zarand region, Iran: comparing logistic regression approaches to predict diagnostic horizons and soil types. European Journal of Soil Science, 63(2), 284-298. https://doi.org/10.1111/j.1365-2389.2012.01425.x " I read the article in detail and similar to the following articles;

''Jeune, W., Francelino, M. R., Souza, E. D., Fernandes Filho, E. I., & Rocha, G. C. (2018). Multinomial logistic regression and random forest classifiers in digital mapping of soil classes in western Haiti. Revista Brasileira de Ciência do Solo, 42. https://doi.org/10.1590/18069657rbcs20170133''

My question;

- I have a total of 5 Ordos, 6 sub-Ordos, 8 large groups, 8 sub-groups and 20 series. How do I transfer environmental variable data from these fields to R Studio with coordinate information ? I want to inform you that I have the knowledge to produce environmental variables here.

- Should I extract this data on a point basis or on a polygon basis ? How do I import it into R studio ?

R studio for Udemy, Coursera etc. I keep training from places.

I expect very valuable information from you. It's a little hard at first, but I know that nothing is easy in life. I will learn! I think I can learn faster with your advice.
