In Brazil we have two predominant species of ants (Atta sexdens and Atta laevigatta), the colonies of both ants developing in noticeable nests due to loose soil volume.

Currently for the control of these nest ants we have only used chemicals, considering being formulated and applied: in bait (sulfluramid and fipronil), in powder (deltamethrin) and in termo-fogg (permethrin and fenitrothion).

I would like to know what is being used / marketed in your region to control leaf-cutting ants of the genus Atta sp.
