First and foremost, I would like thank all of you for answering this question. So, my question is quite general I guess, for a standard marine coating with good anticorrosion and antifouling properties, how much does its mechanical properties such as tensile strength, yield strength and hardness needs to be?
I know that this question is very broad, so to lower the scope, I'm interested in marine coatings for both boats and tanker ships. The first should have lower demand in terms of the mechanical strength than the second.. Thank you for sharing with me :)

the anticorrosive, antifouling and mechanical properties of protective coatings on a ship depend greatly on the parts where they are applied. The "main" division is between "living area" that is the one immersed in sea water and "dead area" that is the structures outside of direct contact with sea water.
