Hi, I manage particularly severe patients suffering from catatonia (if interested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i9zEJM_OWzE). I am always surprised about the huge difference in behavior during the treatment course (from stupor to "normal"). I am sure that these behavioral modifications are associated with brain changes and I would like to use some simple method such as fNIRS (Functional near-infrared spectroscopy) to observe those modifications in brain activity. Indeed, these changes can be dramatic throughout the day. Does anyone have any advice to give on the equipment to acquire (not too expensive if it exists XD), thank you for your help.
