I would like to determine the movement of moths in response to mating disruption pheromone traps.
Pheromone lures (matting disruption) were placed in the center of the treatment plot. High numbers of male moths were caught in the trap in treatment plot as compare to control plot with no pheromone lure. Unfortunately, there was no difference in the fruit damage despite high male moth catches.
I would like to check if males are flying from other control or untreated plots into the treatment plot ? Any trap suggestions?

I would suggest you to use some sticky traps without pheromones in the area around your trial, to have an idea of the number of insects.
You could also try different type/brands and see the difference at the centre of the plot.
However I would strongly recommend you to check the whole plant (especially if you are checking trees) and adjust the height according to the flying habit of the moth.

As per your hypothesis , it is right that the moths from control plots will surely move to treated lure traps as mating pheromones have the ability to attract insects from distant places irrespective of the type of trap used.
Moreover, mating disruption traps have nothing to do with fruits damage directly. They are just male catcher. Damage is caused by their neonates that have been laid by female moths earlier.
