Very roughly, how we can estimate the residual pump power (976nm, 200W) for 1064 nm signal? The 1064 nm signal beam is initially input with 100 mW. The fiber amplifier is based on Yb-doped double clad 10 um diameter with 2.5m length. The pump beam is back-ward (counter) propagation. The parameter used here is just one example.
If there's a clad absorption specified on your active fiber Datasheet (dB/m) you can roughly estimate the residual pump power that way. lenght_of_fiber * abs_length = residual_pump [dB]
If you're interested in a more exact answer that accounts for varying seed power, ASE, etc, there's not quick way to calculate that without a model.
