I want to know if anyone has the stress strain data for steel used as reinforcement. Its ultimate stress to yield stress ratio is around 1.7. These types of steels are used usually in the earthquake resistant design of structures. If anyone has the data tested for this type of steel please provide me with the data. Thank you in advance.
The attached files show the stress-strain curve used for reinforcing steel in bridges in the AASHTO Guide Specification for LRFD Seismic Bridge Design. Note that A706 is required in plastic hinge zones in AASHTO. Finally, the stress-strain curve is often terminated at the reduced ultimate strain (esuR) for a bit of added safety margin. Thanks for your help Timothy. The steel used is having a yield strength of 315 MPa and Ultimate strength of 530 Mpa. The other steel which is used has a yield strength of 386 MPa and Ultimate strength of 587 Mpa. If you have stress-strain data of steel which matches with these properties of steel used please provide the data. Thank you in advance.
Without reference to some standard (ASTM A615, ASTM A706, IS 1786 Specification, or other) or without tests to determine the precise stress-strain curve, I am afraid that it may not be possible to answer your request . Knowing only the yield and ultimate does not provide any information regarding strain hardening and ultimate strains.

Use the values in the previously provided pdf file for strain hardening and ultimate strains from A 615 reinforcement. Use these strains with your specific yield and ultimate stresses in the previously provided spreadsheet. That would provide an approximation. It all depends on what you are using the stress - strain data for. Another option is to use Seismosoft software which has built in reinforcing algorithms.
You have any data for S 220 grade steel with yield strength 425 Mpa and ultimate strength as 596 Mpa?. If you have the data please provide it. Thank you in advance.
It is still not clear exactly what you are looking for. It is my understanding that the "220" in "s 220" refers to the yield strength of the bar. So, are you looking for s 220 properties or s 420 properties (since you specify the yield to be 425 MPa)?
It is not clear to me too because in the paper which I am referring to they have given the grade of steel to be S 220 and gave the above properties. I am attaching the paper, please have a look at it once. It is mentioned in table 1 of the paper. Thank you in advance.
OK. So even though the specified minimum is 200 MPa, the authors of the paper tested the bars and the actual yield and ultimate are much higher than the specified. This is not unusual. I think you should research the matter a bit, find, for S200 reinforcement, the recommended strain at onset of strain hardening (esh in the spreadsheet), strain at maximum stress (esuR in the spreadsheet), and rupture strain (esu in the spreadsheet). Use these values in the spreadsheet along with fye = 61.7 ksi (425.4 MPa) and fue = 86.5 ksi (596.3 MPa). The spreadsheet will then give you the desired stress-strain curve.
