I am phenotyping a Fragile X mouse model and would love to see learning and memory changes in these mice. But since they are known to be hyperactive (lots of movement seen in tests like open field, EPM, etc.), I am unsure what would be the best fear conditioning protocol to use in order to determine fear association with the context and/or cue. I was thinking of using a delayed fear conditioning protocol and multiple (6) shocks.

If anyone out there has a suggestion to look at learning and memory in hyperactive mice, that would be great!
