We would like to analyse fatty acid composition by gas chromatography from an adipose tissue preserved in TRIzol , used for RNA extraction. Is it possible? COuld TRIzol affects lipids presents in the samples ?
I don't see why not! Proceed as you would normally in the FAME test but also but put in a +ve and -ve control for TRIzol.
it is possible, but the best when you use Gc ms
Thank you for your rapid answer.
We have doubts about if TRIzol oxidises lipic acids.
Bruce Neagle could you tell me how we prove +ve and -ve control for TRIzol. I do not know what do you mean.
It is nos possible to do Gc Ms
