I have an old FACScan that I'm trying to get working. It connects to cellquest fine. Drain, fill, standby, and backflush also works fine. Laser works fine. Dongle works fine. BDPac shows "Ready".
But the machine has some differences to usual:
1. The swivel arm wires aren't connected to anything
2. The pump that activates when the swivel arm is turned is missing
-So it appears to be run entirely without those parts.
I'm not sure how someone can handle clogs without those features....
But I have two issues:
1. The SIP tube did take up fluid at first.....but then the SIP tube dried out, and it doesn't take up fluid anymore. I assume it got clogged?
- If it's clogged, how can I unclog it manually? How do I take off the sip tube? Can I soak it in say 0.1M NaOH or bleach?
2. The machine doesn't switch to "Ready" when the knob is turned to "Run".
- No clue....CellQuest won't let me run without the machine being "Ready"
