HEPES Buffer's Effect on Cells?

Hi, I am curious on HEPES Buffer's effect on cells. Per protocol, I am supposed to use 25mM HEPES buffer, but what would happen if I use 1M HEPES instead? Will it affect cell viability? Thanks!
