Usually we choose same levels of different parameters such as two levels or three levels during designing an experiment. My question is if we can mix the number of levels of different parameters such as three levels for two parameters and four levels for one parameter? Then how many experiment will be performed and how the design matrix will be made?
It is not true that we usually choose the same number of levels for the factors of an experiment. For instance a 3x4x2 AxBxC factorial experiment is such factor A has 3 levels, B has 4 levels and C has 2 levels. It does not call for more than one experiment. The factors have 2, 3 and 1 degrees of freedom respectively.
