I would like to import a cultured cell line in a flask to Egypt, which will be sent with a courier as a gift. Any experience with costumes, security issues at the airport, ... etc??
Cell lines could be freezed in DMSO solution and then transported to you, otherwise in a cell flask would be impossible. My suggestion to you please make some aliquouts of your target cell line mixed with DMSO (low conc. of DMSO solution), freeze them initially by -20 Celsius degrees for 1 day and then at -80 or -150 Celsius degrees for longer period and then you can transport them under freezing conditions to your country.

First, you pull the cell line from the flask and work for this cell line separation in the centrifuge and then put in this small vial and add DMSO solution and freeze for two hours at a temperature of -20 Celsius and then you can transfer this vial to a temperature of -80 Celsius for a certain period and then you can transfer this to your country.
