Hi,
Following error pops up while using the equation "{v49} = IF ({UDM-2}>0, 1, 0)" in tecplot.
Unrecognized command.
Error occurred near position marked with "@" below.
" {v49} = I@F ({UDM-2}>0, 1, 0)"
Not able to sort out this error.
Thank you.
Tecplot might be case sensitive. Try "if" instead of IF.
Also, when I define the variable, I do not use brackets.
So I would write: v49 = if({UDM-2}>0, 1, 0)
Check the syntax of IF command. It should be:
$!IF
You may need to close the loop by:
$!ENDIF
I hope this will work.
Kuldeep Dagar Thank you for the answer but unfortunately it is not working for me.
I used the following format in the specify equation:
//$! IF ({UDM-2}>0)
{v49}=1
$!ENDIF//
Error:
// Unrecognized command.
@$!IF({UDM-2}>0 )//
Omer Atasi Thank you for the answer.
I tried to change 'IF' to lower case but giving error.
Also I tried to define new variable without '{}', it showed following error. (screenshot)
Dear Arjun,
You can go thru the command line of tecplot in the attached document. I hope it will be helpful for you.
Interesting question
I wonder if you have solved this problems.
I meet the same problem when using tecplot 2011, however, it's not reproduced in tecplot 2017. So I think you can try latest version tecplot.
Fan E
Dear Fan E,
The problem is not resolved, will try with 2017 version. Thank you for your answer.
Arjun
Yes, Ee Fan is right, its a problem with the older version! 2017 version works
Hello Arjun, Im also facing the same issue. It throws error as I@F, does 2017 Version worked for you? or did u find some solution in 2013?
Hari
maybe you can try this,
{v49} = {IF} ({UDM-2}>0, 1, 0),
I met a similar problem, and I solved this problem by adding {}. I hope it will be helpful for you.
How can we export high quality image from cfd-post. Exporting the image with File -> Export->Png or JPEG or TIFF is not helping.
