Hello!

I am reevaluating our process of the diagnosis of Bursaphelenchus xylophilus in respects of seasonal abundances. At the moment I'm especially interested on the effect of temperatures about 0-4°C and less. I didn't find literature about this as far as I can glance over my collection of papers about B.x.. If someone could point me out research about this, I would be very thankful :)

PS: The reason for all this is, that I would like to identify the ideal season to collect samples (wood chips) - if there are perceivable differences- since the EPPO Protocol does not mention such data.

To put my request in a summary:

Would there be a difference in species abundance /detectability of pine wood nematodes if I sampled wood chips in winter/spring instead of summer/autumn?

Thank you!
