Hi i want to measure zeta potential of gram positive bacteria. I have a query that number of bacteria in a solution will affect the result or not..? Because if i have 2 number of sample then number of cells will be different in that.
Dear Sandeep, if you fix the number of cells, it is easy to compare more than one strain or bacteria. Another factor is buffer solution. We have previously tested in PBS, 1mM KCl, and 1 mM potassium phosphate buffer seperately. The pH and the used buffer affect the zeta potential of bacteria. In the attachment you can find the paper but it is in Turkish. Maybe you can translate via Google.
