You can find out the reports of arsenic contamination in Bangladesh and India, particularly West Bengal and large scale cultivation is going on in these new alluvial zone. Arsenic related health hazards were also reported from these area.

You are right about arsenate and phosphate aspect. But one question is when arsenate and phosphate both are available to plants, which one the plant will uptake? As you have told, for arsenate phosphate antagonistic effect, reduction of arsenic uptake by plants may occur. So, for this purpose some amount of phosphate will be used by the soil, In that case, there may not be a problem of negative impacts of excess use of phosphate. Cowdung manure was also used, that can also solubilize and mobilize P. But, when we apply excess phosphate, there may be a chance of imbalance of micronutrients i.e. iron toxicity, zinc deficiency etc. Do you have any report in this regard?

I have seen one of your paper on phytoextraction of Pb. I have one question about phytoextraction. By using chelants, the metal is solubilized and the plant uptake the metal and in this way, maximum of the metal extracted from the soil. My question is after that how you will dispose those plants with high As content?

Plants absorb phosphate via phosphate carriers which have high affinity for phosphate and mostly, in the presence of adequate amounts of available phosphate in soil, arsenic influx should be suppressed. P-deficiency in plants might induce the low affinity carriers to absorb more phosphate and such carriers seemed to be of low efficiency of differentiating between the P ions and the As ions and therefore As influx increase in P-starving plants. Avoid P-deficiency in plants and use the balanced formula and mostly As influx should be limited

Thanks for providing so many references, helpful for my work to be published. Its evident from these that As uptake will be reduced by application of elevated dose of phosphate. But, what about the effects of that elevated phosphate with or without FYM on yield of crops?
