When we apply increased dose of phosphate fertiliser in arsenic contaminated area, what will be the effect of this on crops cultivated like, rice, wheat, jute, pulses, potato, oilseeds etc? As per my knowledge, phosphate competes with arsenate for the same place in soil due to their similarities in chemical behaviour. So, when we apply increased amount of phosphate, whether it will reduce the crop yield or will not affect yield? Another option is if we apply this dose alongwith Farm Yard Manure, then what will be the result?
