Dear Saleheh,

In my experience working with lactide and caprolactone based scaffolds, I found that a new band was appearing in the FTIR spectra along the hydrolytic degradation. This band appeared at 1600 cm-1 and can be associated with carboxylate

(–COO-) groups formed due to the hydrolytic scission of the

ester groups. Find attached the paper. I hope it helps you!
