Thanks for the answer. I think the pET-22b(+) vector has an N-terminal pelB signal sequence for potential periplasmic localization but I am looking to display protein of interest on the surface.

You may want to look at the Omp family of genes to display a protein. I'm currently testing a codon-optimized InaK but that will be a while until I have good data on that..

They specify which part to use in their methods (you have to re-engineer the sequence using their primers). I went for the NC part, which has some features that I'm interested. The amino acid sequence for that is:
