The simulation in the aspen plus which converges very well doesn’t get converged in aspen dynamics when I change to steady-state even if I run the simulation in dynamic mode for quite long time till every parameter are in steady state. What might be the problem? The system is the distillation of acetone-chlrofrom-Dmso system

the dynamic mode is a time -driven and pressure driven process which is against steady state mode and i feel you are not supposed to change from dynamic to steady sate because software can only carry the data of one mode not both. you should build two files one for steady state and one for dynamic mode. and never shift from dynamic to steady state.

If you get every parameter to steady state in dynamic mode then there is no need to convert to steady state. Failure to converge steady state may be round off errors, damping routines, or minor components truncation.
