Universities like Aarhus University and Oslo Metropolitan University offer academic guidance in groups of four to eight students. Does your university offer collective academic guidance? What is your opinion on important success factors?
D A Gayan Nayanajith Thank you for your input. I also experience that focus on local conditions relevant to the specific student group greatly improves the rate of success.
Chinaza Godswill Awuchi Thank you. We use collective guidance much and the students are happy about it. There is a transition period though. The students need to adapt to the collective guidance. When they do they do not want to go back.

I am happy to share. My e-mail is [email protected] There are many approaches possible and the groups can be lead by themselves or by one of the academic staff. We use simple guidance tools - systematic use of questions - to facilitate the reflection and learning process. One favoritt is the SWiT-modell. Unfortunatly the book my collegue and I have written about it is in Norwegian. You will find a short introduction here:
Chapter The SWiT-model (S - situation now, Wi - wishes, T - take act...
It might seem very simple but we have very good experiences with his through 20 years.
