Our group has noticed a fairly high test fail rate when using the Charles River Endosafe PTS system after performing endotoxin removal via Triton X-114 phase separation. Normally this process does leave behind a small amount of detergent. So, can the small amount of detergent interfere with endotoxin quantification by the Limulus amebocyte lysate test?
