I checked some IR spectrum metal complex which I synthesized.
It is different from starting ligand but I'm wondering the complexation could affect transmittance.
I think the rigid structure of metal complex could affect the transmittance. I mean, it would be decrease.
Is it right? or am I wrong? Could anyone explain about this?

sorry, but your question does not make a lot of sense.
IR spectroscopy is indeed suitable to probe for the coordination (complexation) of a ligand to a metal but as always in IR spectroscopy of complex molecules you have to check characteristic bands which stand for specific groups within the molecule (complex). Such bands change in energy and intensity.
Changes in transmittance can thus only be discussed in view of characteristic bands, not in general. The idea that there is a "general transmittance" of an IR spectrum or an "average transmittance" or whatever ... makes scientificly no sense. I suggest to consult a text book on IR spectroscopy.

Your question has an answer hidden in it. It is quite reasonable that you would observe changes in the transmittance of your compound. IR Spectroscopy works on the concept of stretching frequency of the bond between two atoms. The atoms in the ligand before complexation would surely have a different stretching frequencies as compared to when it is coordinated to a metal in a complex. But the transmittance should not decrease always (in your case it might be decreasing). For more details you should refer to basic IR spectroscopy books and thus you might get more insights.

It depends on the bonds in the molecules and the interactions with the metal ion. It can reduce the transmittance though depending on the nature of the bonds present and interactions present
