Does the term "Microbial biomass" include both microflora (e.g. bacteria and fungi) and microfauna (e.g. protozoa and nematodes) or only microflora?
The definition of the soil microbial biomass is the living portion of the soil organic matter, excluding plant roots and soil animals larger than 5 x 10-3 µm³. It only includes the microflora.
