The Coronavirus has confused all my plans for attending conferences, but I hope that research and the results this year will be much better than before.
So far, I have a canceled conference in Istanbul, redirected to Rome and also canceled by the organizers, and a conference in Bulgaria that also did not take place because of the preventive acts against the coronavirus. I hope we are all healthy and things will be back to normal in a few months.
As an educational researcher working in the U.S. for a professional development organization, the virus is having a profound impact. Schools across the country are closing. We do not know how long they will be closed. Achievement test scores, if they are administered at all, will certainly be impacted. This is the primary measure of student level impact. It will be very difficult to determine a true impact of the professional development in the midst of the virus.
yes it does effect my plans as the schools from kindergarten to grade 12 are all closed now i wont be able to attend the education 2500 in the summer of 2020, as it includes practicum in the classroom. so now i must wait to and plan around that course in the fall. i already had plans for the fall semester now its a waiting game.
It disturbed everything I was doing. I was planning to travel, now cancelled. Then new priorities at work, together with the uncertainty and the continuing changes that we all experience.
I think the coronavirus affects everyone's lives. In Greece schools are closed and so are universities, scientific conferences internationally have been postponed. We are locked up at home I think there is time for a theoretical study but because schools are closed there is no room for research and application.
Yes, it affects my academic and research plans; because actually all educational institutions are closed in many countries. All conferences, seminars and workshop are postponed. But, now we plan the e-learning platform for to help our students . As researcher this is the time to read more educational theories, analyze, criticize and identify the gaps.
Not at the moment since my Masters courses are all online. My Masters is in STEM Education, so I feel a bit more equipped to teach online than some of my colleagues due to the nature of my previous 2 courses which were all on integrating technology. The current mandate to stay and teach from home has given me a bit more time to try out and implement some of the technologies that I've learned about in my courses, and see how I can use them to effectively teach online.
It affected my research very positively. I got rid of all administrative work and unnecessary meetings that were holding me back. Now I can allocate more time to what really matters to me. I wish I could always work from home.
I am a BA/education combined degree and I feel that covid has effect both areas of my education. I believe because of the lack of in person classes I lack experience.
