In sustainable socio-economic development of the national economy, one of the most important issues is the activation of innovation and entrepreneurship in order to stimulate the development of business entities, especially those companies that based their business model on the implementation of new technologies, innovations, patents, including technical and engineering technology solutions, production, logistics, IT, process, management, etc. Therefore, the role of engineers is very large in such organized development of the national economy oriented in economic policy on socio-economic development with particular emphasis on the activation of innovation and supporting the development of companies that their business model rely on new technologies, including engineering technologies.

In my opinion, the implementation of technological innovation as a factor of sustainable development for a national economy is an old paradigm. I am not saying that it is effective or not. I just think that we have to integrate the other objects of innovation such as managerial innovation and innovation in the business model and also the aspects of creating shared value, to update the research topic. If we want to study the impact of innovation in the sustainable development of the national economy, we must think innovation in the broad sense.
Because if we only focus on technological innovation we have the counter-example of the digital majors industries like the GAFA who totally ignore the notion of national economic interest as you seem to hear it. It is very difficult to establish precise measures for the sustainable development process. Sustainable economic development in correlation with ecology should be measured to determine if it is being implemented. It is necessary to define precise determinants that on one hand will determine the pace of economic development and on the other hand will take into account specific issues of ecology. It should be a set of quantified indicators based on selected measurable and quantitative data, so that the whole analytical process can be considered as a research objective method. The best solution will therefore be to develop an analytical scoring method, for which the basic components of this method will be defined economic and ecological quantitative indicators.

More and more scientific research confirms that if the average annual temperature at the surface of the Earth by the end of the 21st century will rise by a further 3-4 ° C, then man will become an endangered species. If this black scenario was to be realized, in a few dozen years the areas that can be inhabited by people are significantly shrinking globally.
It is necessary to develop different types of ecological innovations, including energy, materials, architecture, recycling of recyclables, etc. Thanks to the development of various types of ecological innovations, the development of civilization in the 21st century will at least partially approximate pro-ecological sustainable development.
It should not be assumed that the global warming process has become irreversible. It does not have to be too late to develop ecological innovations, renewable energy sources, increase the efficiency of recyclables, reduce plastic production, etc. to implement the concept of pro-ecological sustainable zero development and the implementation of green economy. Perhaps it is not too late to attempt to implement environmentally sustainable development, we owe it to future generations, we owe it to our children and grandchildren. Such statements have repeatedly appeared during lectures and discussions during the UN Climate Summit, the so-called COP (Conference of the Parties), which was held in Katowice in December 2018.
During this summit, conferences are held, discussions are held on the need to develop a sustainable development policy and the need for development of ecological, renewable energy sources in order to generate a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions in the future and ultimately reduce the average annual temperature rise on the Earth's surface. From the discussions it follows that it is necessary to develop eco-innovations, new pro-ecological energy sources, development of electromobility of transport means. It is necessary to develop and implement on a large scale renewable energy sources. In addition, it is important to increase the scale of afforestation, as forests and the flora contained in them absorb a large proportion of greenhouse gas emissions.
The present lectures show that in recent years the warming process of the Earth's climate has accelerated significantly and therefore, in the black scenario of future climate changes, the temperature on the Earth's surface can rise by 4 ° C to the end of the 21st century. If this happened, then the scale of climate-related cataclysms that are dangerous to humans, including droughts, floods, fires and weather anomalies in many places around the world, will increase many times. The problem is very serious globally and therefore a lot depends on whether international cooperation will develop in order to limit these problems and their negative effects.
In view of the above, I would like to ask you: Should you think that international cooperation should increase to reduce greenhouse gas emissions on Earth? Activation of entrepreneurship and innovation focused on supporting the creation and development of business entities in the SME sector is currently one of the key problems of improving state intervention instruments.
Currently, the importance of this issue is growing in the context of the slowdown in economic growth that has appeared since the end of 2018 in many economies. Certain instruments of state intervention, including activating entrepreneurship and innovativeness of economic entities of the SME sector, are considered in many developed countries as one of the main determinants of an effective, pro-development, anti-crisis socio-economic policy.
The significance of this factor in pro-development anti-crisis socio-economic policy is growing in the context of depleting the potential of other interventionist factors, such as maintaining low interest rates and other monetary policy instruments and developing the necessary institutional and economic infrastructure of the business environment.
In many countries, the activation of entrepreneurship and innovation focused on supporting the creation and development of economic entities in the SME sector takes into account the key components of fiscal policy, primarily reducing the key tax categories for the SME sector and creating solutions supporting international trade and promoting the offer of SMEs in other countries. .
However, despite many expenditures incurred for these purposes within the public finances, the development of entrepreneurship and innovativeness can be significantly limited in the situation of a rapidly progressing economically unfavorable process of demographic change, i.e. an aging population. Therefore, the anti-crisis, pro-development Keys' socio-economic policies should also take into account pro-social goals, including taking into account the need to increase fertility in the demographic structure of society. Demographic processes based on the aging of the society are serious problems of the age of developed countries, which limit the possibility of using the instruments of enterprise activation and innovation of business entities representing the sector of small and medium enterprises.
In relation to the above, it is also important to develop instruments of socio-economic policy that lead to improvement of the economic, material and housing situation of the society. Thanks to these solutions, it is possible to improve consumption, which is a key element necessary for the development of business entities manufacturing products and services to meet the needs of citizens.
