Does tensile strength of wet paper increase by addition of nanofibrillated cellulose to pulp in papermaking process?
If the interfacial adhesion between cellulose nanofibers and paper pulps is strong enough, yes the tensile strength increases.
Thanks My Amjadi, I want to know the advantage of reinforcing tensile strength of wet web of sheet during paper production. For example, in stead of using pulp of long fiber for wet strengthen wet web of paper which made from hard wood pulp. Please use reference for you discussion.

Actually I am not walking on the production of papers. I was working on fabrication of the carbon nanofibers/polymers nanocomposites and I just explained how the tensile strength can be improved by the better interfacial adhesion between fibers and polymers. In your case, it might be exactly the same story.
