am working on microfluidic spinning of starch under high voltage about 20Kv, and i need to know if i can consider starch as nematic phase?
The normal type starches are hard to be spinned as the branched amylopectin interrupt the aligning reactions. however, amylose is of high potential. Think about the pure amylose or high amylose starches.
Best.
starch can be considered as nematic phase only in its granular structure
