I generated a blue ligh of 384 nm by frequency doubling a laser source of 775 nm with 150 fs duration. I then measured the degradation of my polymer films. But I am not sure the fact that this beam is short induces a deferent degradation mechanism than the normal UV-light form the sun.

My answer may not be decisive but may share to shed light on the possible effect of the radiation on the material. The photon flux is a photo stream that can be absorbed an energy species by the organic molecules causing their irreversible change. If the effect is only energy of photons then the dose of the photons will be cause the changes. As the flux is the same and the time of incidence is the same then one expects the same degradation. Here one has to hint that the flux density must be the same. As a matter of definition, the flux is the is the number of photons per second incident on the material. The flux density is the flux incident per unit area per second. The exact effect may be obtained when one mimics the solar spectrum in this wavelength. The best way may be by using filters. The solar radiation has random phase but if the effect is pure energy effect it does not matter with the phase.
