SARS-CoV-2 shares 82% genome sequence similarity to Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus (SARS-CoV) and 50% genome sequence homology to Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus (MERS-CoV)—all three coronaviruses are known to cause severe respiratory symptoms. Here is to mention SARS-CoV-2- responsible for COVID-19, SARS-CoV- responsible for SARS in 2002-2003, MERS-CoV- responsible for MERS in 2012. My humble request to Virologist/ Microbiologist comments regarding antigen shift and SARS-CoV2.

There are some good paperes, where is described the changes in RBD.

But the very very low segmantation of the +ssRNA of all coronaviridae means, the virus can not have a markedly genomic shift or an antigen shift. It is a long way for an anntigen drift (no shitft !) to generate a new seroligic subtype. High probably is, this can happen if the virus goes back in his reservior and than come back.

Genomic analyses have indicated that the SARS-CoV-2, is probably not a purposefully manipulated laboratory construct. However, currently available data are not sufficient to precisely conclude the origin of this fearsome virus, and thus, controversy till remains. The genome of SARS-CoV-2 has 96.2%, 79.0% and 50.0% identity to the genomes of bat SARS-related coronavirus, Bat-SARSr-CoV-RaTG13, SARS-CoV and MERS-CoV, respectively (Tang et al., 2020; Lu et al., 2020; Rahman et al., 2020; Zhou et al., 2020a) indicating a novel beta-coronavirus, which is is likely to have originated from a bat coronavirus (Andersen et al., 2020). However, an intermediate host between bat and human is unknown. SARS-CoV-2 related coronavirus have also been identified in Malayan pangolins (Lam et al., 2020). Further studies are needed to make a precise conclusion on the origin of the SARS-CoV-2 (Hoque et al., 2020; doi: 10.20944/preprints202004.0359.v1).
