As platelets have active PI3K/Akt pathway, I'm just wondering whether PI3K/Akt pathway would play a role in platelet glucose metabolism
According to a proteomic analysis (Burkart e-Blood 2012) there are an estimated 1000 copies of mTOR in human platelets.
That's very interesting. Thank you. Platelets might have similar energy metabolism control pathways as T Lymphocytes.
