Does the population of the country deserve to enjoy cheaper petrol costs just because the oil "belongs to the population" or should the population be expected to pay the full price of the petrol in order that the country's "true" profitability be realised as its GDP? Does the extra profitability have the potential to yield greater benefits through long-term development of the country?
