I am confused with the nomenclature of the phosphodiesterases (PDEs) in trypanosomes like Leishmania. I am aware that PDEs (A, B1, B2, and C) are present in Leishmania however I am not being able to find any reports whether Calcium-calmodulin dependent PDEs are present in Leishmania or not.
On the other hand I did come across one report saying that PDE1 (CaM dependent PDE) activity was not detected in Leishmania.
Any leads?
