Human serum albumin forms a molten globule state at pH 4 and pH 2. They are known as F and E state respectively. Does HSA form similar molten globule or any other stable partly folded intermediate on addition of urea or guanidium hydrochloride (GdnHCl), sodium dodecyl sulphate (SDS) or room temperature ionic liquid (RTIL)? These intermediates would be formed in the unfolding pathway when HSA is being unfolded by the above mentioned denaturants.
