Gallic acid, ellagic acid and chebulagic acid are the major polyphenols from the fruit of Terminalia chebula and it is reported that some polyphenols like baicalein have the neuroprotective effect against the glutamate toxicity induced by the neuronal cells death. Can anyone suggest a good paper that studied the protective effect of T. chebula extract or its polyphenols against the glutamate toxicity?
