Does BioMix contain anything special that cannot be gained from a DIY master mix?

My protocol calls for BioMix by Bioline. However, my project has a budget. Does anyone know if the reagents I use for Vent PCR would suffice as a replacement for BioMix?

Hi Kearstin, BioMix does contain some preparatory stabilizers and enhancers, however it is a first generation polymerase. If you want a less expensive alternative that will give greater yield and reproducibility, you should use MyTaq Miix, contact your local Bioline rep and I am sure that they will be pleased to help you.
