I am curious about the discussion of organism edited by CRISPR/Cas9 for being considered as non-transgenic material. However, if the plasmid used to carry sgRNA and Cas9 with all antibiotic selection sequence, are inserted using Agrobacterium transformation, where they go after the transformation? Can the organism still not be considered transgenic?

Why you ask such question? Do you have a problem with the regulation with the government there? Is it really important to classify the plants as transgenic or not, after CRISPR/Cas9 transformation?
May be we can say it depends, if you introduce some foreign genes with it, it may be transgenic. but if you just cut some part of gene of interest and knock the expression out. May be we can consider them as non-transgenic.
For the rest part of the plasmid that you inserted, well I don't know what happens after the CRISPR/cas9 system work in the plants.

Hi Febri, I'm fine thank you. I hope that you're in shape also. Of course, the transgenic term is always problematic elsewhere. I was hoping that someone could help me answer and ensure if CRISPR/Cas9 debris after transformation can be removed are not from the plants, apparently yes. In CRISPR/Cas9, we don't insert foreign genes but we insert a construct carrying sgRNA that will recognize your target sequence and knock the gene off. Thus, it will create new desired mutation.
