Bone healing is monitored via x-rays or CT, but the healing of reconstruction grafts is more complex. There is evidence of a process of 'ligamentization' of a graft and an idea that the graft needs to integrate into the bone tunnels but how do we know that has occured and can MRI be and adequately interpreted, and relied on, to prove evidence of healing and help guide a patient's subsequent return to pivoting sport?
