Hi Stephanie: Have a look at the attached PDF. This will explain the extent to which perimortem trauma is prevalent. However, records of the deaths of Dian Fossey's gorillas are kept in Ruingheri, RW, by the Mountain Gorilla Veterinary Project. They have a cooperation with UC Davis (http://www.vetmed.ucdavis.edu/whc/about/team.cfm) called Gorilla Doctors. Contact one of the people mentioned, and they can put in touch with people in Rwanda to find out.
