Does anyone know the range of H/Er for soft and hard materials?

H/Er is the indication of softness or hardness of a material. If this value is less then the material is soft. And if this value is large, the material is hard. Can anyone provide me the examples of H/Er values for soft and hard materials and approximate range through which we are able to know if the material is soft or hard?
