There are thousands of ion channels, they also have accessory sub-unit some of which are regulatory or sensing.
In addition there are calcium-pump which are usually activated when signal triggers calcium release from the internal stores, and calcium exchanger (Ca/Na, etc..) and store refilling Ca channel and accessories like ORAI1,... et STIM1,...
Protein kinase activated by calcium like CAMKII (Which have Ca-regulated modulator like PCP4 or related), classical PKCs, et many others which also control ion channels (PKG, PKA, PKD, etc..... )
