The question is far too broad to have a single answer. If the media are designed to expand or focus awareness, that's one thing. If it is entertainment, is it inspiring or educational, or is it some disgusting tripe? If it is based on news, is it mainly positive or negative? If this response is completely off of the point, then you need to explain your question much better.
