You may please go through one of our publication "A Study on Radon Absorption Efficiencies of Edible Oils Produced in India" . Karunakara N. and Darwish Al-Azmi Health Physics, 98(4), 621-627, 2010.

We have measured the coefficient of radon in edible oils. I think the same method can be applied for propane.
