Looking for 2 different human brain receptor maps: for cannabinoid 1 receptor density and oxytocin receptor density, to compare fMRI images to. Does anyone know of any online resources, or groups to contact for collaboration?
Well we have recently worked on OXTR with GTEx and GSEA in order to map gene-network interactions in humans. I think that there is no database or map for OXTR density map to be used straightforward!
The best way would be to see which ROI (or brain region, nucleus,...) you would like to assess the density of OXTR and then use mapping databases like tissue based data as in GSEA, GTEx or to use the mRNA distribution in a specific region using Allen Human Brain Atlas (http://human.brain-map.org) to use the microarray data for your own specific goal. There is also a very comprehensive Help section and useful documentations if you need to figure out what should you do there.
Then you may conduct voxel by voxel gene expression mapping, using Matlab.
