I am looking for a valid and reliable tool to measure classroom engagement amongst nursing orientees

The DESSA is used for schoolchildren's engagement in the classroom. Maybe the same company created or knows of a scale for adults like this.

Did you try formal Students Evaluation of Teaching (SET) tools with modifications to suit your purpose?
Hi Emma, this is admittedly quite late but let's say you want to measure engagement in two scenarios -
A) Where an ARS is used
B) Where an ARS is not used, given all other things are the same
The key question is - how do you define "engagement" and what metrics you want to measure. Then, you can try to measure these parameters for the two cases. We've been working quite closely with a lot of educators to glean these insights.
Some of the parameters we think are crucial are: student preparedness, level of communication, in-class participation, performance in formative assessments and timely engagement with content.
