Growing a pathogenic strain (plants) of Fusarium Oxysporum on agar plates, and I have an idea that would only work if the hyphae can grow into the media...
I would imagine they can, provided the gel strength isn't too high. Does anybody have any experience with this?
We have done some preliminary work with some Aspergillus species and they all penetrate agar plates given that the agar% is not too high. Would assume Fusarium does a similar thing and penetration wasn't based on secretion products. Hope this is helpful.
