Hello,

I am attempting to get condensation modelling working from a steam/CO2 multi-component gas mixture to a fluid film of water on a cold wall in Star-CCM+. The gas enter the domain above saturation temperature and the wall is below saturation temperature. I am using the evaporation/condensation model for the condensation but I don't seem to get condensation and eventually the temperature and pressure in my case increase to beyond the upper limits I have defined (5000K and 1E8Pa). The geometry is a simple quasi-2D channel (3D but one cell deep with symmetry either side). The setup is as found in the image below. I have gone through the documentation, the online Siemens support centre documentation and forum and I have scoured the internet trying to find the solution. I have tried many things but nothing seems to work.

Does anyone know what I might be doing wrong? All insights are welcome as I have been stuck on this so long I have run out of ideas.
