Let's say 1,6 and 1,5 respectively. I want to know how much RNA there is in the sample. Is there any equation to eliminate protein and phenol influence on RNA concentration calculated by NanoDrop?
According to Glasel, 1995 R(260/280) = 1.81 means that there is 40% nucleic acids and 60% protein in the sample. What does that mean? If the NanoDrop shows 260/260 = 1.81 and RNA concentration 100 ng/ul do I have actual concentrations of 40 ng/ul or 100 ng/ul and 150 ng/ul (60%) of proteins?
